  • Password (stored securely hashed)
  • Payment information (processed by Stripe; we don't store card numbers)

Device Information

When you use Kast, we collect:

  • Device identifiers (for license validation)
  • Operating system and version
  • App version
  • IP address (for connection establishment only)

Usage Information

We collect anonymous usage statistics:

  • Session duration
  • Feature usage patterns
  • Error reports (opt-in)

Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or have access to:

  • Your screen content or streams
  • Keystrokes or input
  • Files on your computer
  • Application data

Your streams are end-to-end encrypted. Our servers facilitate the connection but cannot decrypt the content.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the Kast service
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Send service-related communications
  • Improve our product and user experience
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

  • Service Providers: Stripe (payments), cloud infrastructure providers
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights

Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion:

  • Personal data is deleted within 30 days
  • Anonymized usage statistics may be retained
  • Backups are purged within 90 days
